Workshop 6

Workshop 6:  Religions and body issues

Source of anxiety and uncertainties in the contemporary world, the status of the body vacillates between contradictory logics: body subject, body object? Sexed body, undifferentiated body? Sacred body, merchandise body? The various religions have different views on the body issues but all of them are faced with the importance of the autonomy of the person for the control of his body. How can we conciliate religions and modernity?
